Discover the Magic of Snow Angels in Delightful New Book
Heart-Warming Tale Shares the Adventures of Little Beth
HURST, Texas – Sandy Winnette delivers a magical, mystical tale of angels, animals and imagination in her enchanting new children’s book, A Snow Angel Story Book: Little Beth and the Snow Angel (published by AuthorHouse).
Chances are if you played in the snow as a child – or perhaps even as an adult – you’ve made a snow angel at one time or another. But what if that angel was much more than just an imprint in the fallen snow? What if a heartfelt wish could bring that angel to life, setting off a series of amazing, inspiring events?
So it is in Little Beth and the Snow Angel, a holiday story for children and angel lovers of all ages. Little Beth is a young girl who lives in Forest Manor, a large home that overlooks the meadow between the house and the forest. Deer and many other animals come from the wooded area into the meadow to feed and to see Little Beth, whose kindness and gentleness draw them close.
One snowy winter evening, Little Beth ventures out to the meadow to deliver a gift for the animals: some delicious, leftover food and a beautiful snow angel. As she pushes her arms and legs through the heavy snow, creating her perfect gift, Little Beth closes her eyes and says repeatedly, "I wish tonight, with all my might, let my Christmas snow angel come to life."
Little Beth’s parents come to look for her, and find her cold and wet from the snow. They take her back to the house, but soon she develops a fever. Meanwhile, the animals in the forest come across an amazing sight: Little Beth’s snow angel has come to life, but her wings are stuck in the snow! Thankfully the sun comes to help and she is soon freed, and the animals rejoice as they run and play in the magical snowflakes that fall from her wings.
But soon the snow angel senses that Little Beth is ill, and with the help of the deer and the owl, she visits Little Beth in her room in order to save the young girl’s life. Discover a miraculous tale of faith, selflessness and healing in Sandy Winnette’s A Snow Angel Story Book: Little Beth and the Snow Angel.
Little Beth and the Snow Angel includes sing-a-long rhymes and two additional adventures: the tale of "Little Beth’s Christmas Adventure," in which the snow angel takes Beth and her Nanna to Sweet Snow Valley at the North Pole to meet Saint Nicholas, and a tale about the snow angel and Mac the Mouse.
A resident of Hurst, Texas, Sandy Winnette was born in Syracuse, N.Y. She has written children’s sing-a-longs for Jean Warren’s Piggy Back Song Books and is also the author of Snow Angels Always Fade Away and The Coordinator’s Shoes (also published by AuthorHouse).
